How to schedule a daily AI briefing
Anything you can ask an AI once, you can ask it every morning. A scheduled task runs the same prompt on a timetable and delivers the result without you opening anything. The useful ones are specific: your market, your competitors, your topic, in the shape you want to read it.
What to automate
Daily: news on a narrow topic with sources, filtered for relevance; changes on a set of competitor pages; a summary of a feed or forum. Weekly: a digest of research on a theme; a report rerun with fresh data; a review of your own metrics with commentary. The test is whether you would read it every time. If not, make it rarer or narrower.
Writing a prompt that holds up over time
A scheduled prompt runs without you there to correct it, so it must be explicit. Fix the scope ('only sources from the last 24 hours'), the format ('five bullets, each with a source link, then one line on what changed since yesterday'), and the exclusions ('skip press releases and job posts'). Ask for 'nothing relevant today' as a valid answer so the task does not invent content on quiet days.
How to do it in Vyndexo
Write it once
Run the prompt manually in Research or chat until the output is what you want.
Schedule it
Open Scheduled Tasks, paste the prompt, choose the model, set the time and repeat interval. The cost per run is shown so you know the monthly total.
Choose delivery
Results land in your workspace history, and can be sent to a Space so a team sees them.
Tune
After a week, tighten the prompt based on what was useful. Edits apply to the next run.
Common questions
What does a daily task cost?
Each run costs what that prompt costs on the chosen model, shown up front. A short daily briefing on a fast model is a few credits a day.
Can tasks use my own documents?
Yes. Point the task at a Space with your files and it uses them alongside web results.
Can I pause a task?
Yes, from the task list; paused tasks cost nothing.
